The Magic of Disney World

Welcome to the Magical Place we call Walt Disney World

Fantasmic!

The following was written by my 9 year old son:

Fantasmic! is a show that takes place at night because it has fireworks, lasers, special effects and fountains at places in the show. It starts with Mickey in a dream appearing on a mountain and, with sparks coming from his fingertips, conducts a series of dancing fountains. But then the Disney Villains take over and turn Mickey’s dreams into nightmares! Mickey battles with them until the final battle when he battles Malefecient the Dragon and finally prevails over all of them at last!

Fantasmic! is full of fun things to watch but be prepared to be waiting a long time to get out of the theater (unless you sit in the back of course!). So sit back, relax and enjoy the show! Seating starts 90 minutes before the half an hour show begins.

Kathi again - I’m just here to finish a few things off. Fantasmic! can get very crowded, leading to long wait times. The show at Disneyworld an advantage over its Disneyland counterpart, though…you actually have a place to sit! Disney built an amphitheatre at Disney-MGM Studios especially for Fantasmic! Even so, don’t expect to get in if you wait until the last minute. If you’re there on a night with two Fantasmic! showings, wait for the last one.

Fantasmic! has been known to scare some young children, so if your kids are easily frightened, you might want to sit this one out.
