Splash Mountain

My 9 year old son wrote the following:

Splash Mountain is from the Adventures of Disney’s Brer Rabbit. For those of you who have not heard of Brer Rabbit, he is a fun loving and mischiefmaking Rabbit (of course) that lives on the ‘Ole plantation. At the end, if you pay attention you will find that you are in the last part of one of the Brer Rabbit storys “The tar baby”. Where you are thrown into a brier patch! Not really but you will see brier spines in front of you during the Five story drop that WILL get you soaked especially if you are sitting in the front. Why I liked this ride was because of the mini drops before the grand finale when you get drenched and squish back to the line to do it again and again and again! One song you will almost definently hear is “Zip-a-dee-doo-dah” which is the theme song of Brer Rabbit. Hope you can find your laughing Place!

Okay, it’s Kathi again. I thought it would be nice for those with kids to hear about some of the rides from a kid. Splash Mountain is a favorite ride of mine, and it’s a favorite of my kids, too. When you stand in front of the mountain and watch the logs drop down over the falls and into the briar patch, it can look a little…intimidating. But the drop looks much scarier than it really is. I took my son on Splash Mountain when he was 3, and he loved it! Of course, not all kids are the adventurous type, and you’re the only one that can make that judgement about your kid.

The best thing about Splash Mountain isn’t the drop: it’s the attention to detail and theming that you see before the drop. You could go on Splash Mountain a dozen times and not see all the fun things this ride has to offer. Splash Mountain is a must-ride: at least in my opinion!
