“You can fly, you can fly, you can fly!” Well, sort of. You can fly if you first board a pirate ship attached to cables that lift it off the ground. I know…way to bring realism into somewhere it shouldn’t be. I love Peter Pan’s flight…I always have. There’s nothing quite like getting in that pirate ship and flying over the rooftops of London all the way to Neverland…
For those who have never seen Peter Pan (not sure who I’m talking to here, but whatever), Peter Pan is a boy who lives in Neverland, talking with mermaids, leading the Lost Boys, and fighting the evil Captain Hook. He comes to the nursery of the Darling family, and soon Wendy, John and Michael fly off with him to Neverland. The best part of the ride is the scene where your ship flies over London…look for Big Ben in the scene below you. Anyway, once they get to Neverland, Captain Hook takes the darlings captive. Gotta love Captain Hook…although I’m kind of in awe of the crocodile, personally. Talk about persistance!
Peter Pan’s flight is a storybook ride, which means it will be dark a lot of the way through. It’s not scary at all, though, so even tiny children shouldn’t have a problem with it. The line, however, can get scary, so either plan to ride at off times or use fastpass.
