The Magic of Disney World

Welcome to the Magical Place we call Walt Disney World

Astro Orbiter

Just like Dumbo, Astro Orbiter is a hub and spoke attraction where you go round and round a central point while raising and lowering your vehicle. In this case, it’s a rocket ship turning around planets instead of a flying elephant spinning around a small rodent named Timothy, but the concept is the same.

Personally, I think that the elephants have more charm and appeal. Astro Orbiter does have the advantage of being placed above ground level, which gives you a nice view of Tomorrowland as you circle. Because it is above ground level, riders rise to the level of the ride in elevators.

Astro Orbiters is slow loading and unloading, so you could wait in line for a good chunk of time. If the line is long, don’t bother…it’s not worth it. Visit first thing in the morning, or during extra magic hours if you have that option.

HelloEvery other blog I have read about Disney Hotels, has been lacking in information. Your insight into Disney Hotels is sooooo much better than anything else I have read. Thanks Megan.
